Hi, I’m Nicole, Aslan’s mom, and I’d like to share our experience with the MiniONE® Balloon Button G Tube.
Aslan is seven years old and very new to life with a feeding tube. After a long journey with medical challenges and difficulty getting enough nutrition by mouth, he recently received his G-tube (gastrostomy tube). We went into this knowing that a feeding tube was going to be a big adjustment, but also hopeful about what this new chapter would bring.
Aslan received an AMT MiniONE® Balloon Button G Tube, and we are now learning this new way of life together. Right now, everything is still very new—the extension sets, connecting his feeding pump, caring for his new stoma, and learning how to incorporate tube feeds into normal everyday life. As his mom, I’m learning right alongside him.
We are only at the very beginning of Aslan’s G-tube journey, but we are hopeful about what comes next. Our goal is for his MiniONE® Balloon Button G Tube to become just another part of his life—not something that defines or limits him, but simply part of his everyday routine.
