Melanie’s G-JET^® / Success Stories

It started when Melanie was 10 years old and fell off a pair of stilts. She injured her leg which then triggered complex regional pain syndrome, mitochondrial dysfunction, and other complications. The following year, her GI issues led to the discovery of gastroparesis and dysautonomia.

To treat Melanie’s rare condition she had a gastric stimulator implanted in her abdomen and uses a G-JET® for nutrition.

Melanie is currently a 20 year old college student who loves to draw, bake, and listen to music.

She’s a serious G-JET® lover who has told her beloved surgeon in their common bantering conversations that unless HE has a stoma put in, he cannot comment on her insistence toward her preferred brand.
